Avoid dry hair and keep healthy!

This subject I know very well. Here are some tips from me, a professional Hair stylist.

I have seen and worked on any and every type of hair! I myself have fine, curly and naturally DRY hair. I can go three days without shampoo and that third day is the best! We have been trained from a small child to wash your hair every day. As you may have heard by now this my friend can and will dry out your locks. If you absolutely must wash every day it all depends on the products you are using or Not using. Always use a heat protector! Apply Either a spray, serum or cream to wet hair after your shower before you Blow-dry, use the Curling Iron or Flat Iron. These loveld beauty tools are the hairs public enemy #1! You can use the Paul Mitchell skinny serum, Smooth Criminal and I love the Marrokesh KaHm for a nice smooth blowout. Anything will help! Deep Conditioning treatments are your hairs best friend. the best kind are at the salon but the at home ones can help too.

Some products contain these hard on the hair ingredients:

Sulfate: ALS or ammonium Salt. Yes, Salt This is why over use dries the hair. Try a sulfate free shampoo if your hair is dry. Or if you must have your bubbly shampoo skip a day or two. Use a little dry shampoo In between washing. Technically your conditioner is acidic enough to wash your hair! Try it some time, it may help. I like the Marrokesh sulfate free shampoo and Healthy sexy hair shampoo & conditioner. L'oriel makes one as well. The CVS L'oriel Dupe is good too. And for you curly girls like me Diva Curl is awesome! It smells soooo good.

Paraben:  Parabens are a class of chemicals widely used as preservatives by cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Parabens are effective preservatives in many types of personal products.  They have been found in breast cancer tumors. I try to steal clear of products with Parabens.

Gluten: a substance made from wheat and other related grains. About 1 in 133 people in developed nations have allergic reactions to gluten, some of which can be severe enough to be life-threatening.
Stay away from these products if you gave crones or a simple wheat allergy.

I have also encountered products containing all natural ingredients I was highly allergic to because of certain plant extracts and oils. Always read the ingredient list before a purchase! You can also do a patch test on your wrist or behind your ear to see if you are sensitive to any product.

Be sure to comment and tell me your favorite way to keep your hair healthy and Moisturized! What is your favorite Shampoo/Conditioner and why?
